Where to find a trap for a large dog in the Sacramento area? A friend wants to help a dog he has been feeding.?

My friend is a light rail train operator, and the dog frequents his tracks. My friend must regularly avoid running over this animal, and now he wishes to try to help it by bringing it to his home. We see many dog traps on line, but he would rather purchase locally. Elk Grove, specifically. Anybody know of any stores that have this? Thank you.
