My 2 year old has pnemonia??

i went to the doctor today after my son has been very sick in the last week with a cold and he had a chest xray because the antibiotics dont seem to be working. these were his result "there is a pathcy consolidation within the middle lobe as well as the left lower lobe basal atelectasis and peribronchial opacity" but everything else seemed to be fine. the doctor than gave me another set of antibiotics to try and said he had partial pnemonia. and he'll need another xray in a mth to see if its cleared. i dont get the partial bit hes either got it or he doesnt. i cant see another doc till monday yet everytime i go i just dont seem to get any answers anyway can anyone help?
