What was this bug that i found?

Maybe a tick. I don't know where you live but we have them here usually mostly in the summer. They are brown usually and squishy because they fill up with blood. That's what they do is feed off of living things. And can cause diseases. Hope this is helpful.God Bless. Look in the encloypedia and see if there is a picture there? Carol
