One little problem to deal with and he's the perfect dog?
i have a three year old mastiff great dane cross. he's a really good boy - he sits, stays, lies down, only eats when he's been told it's ok and isn't aggresive towards anything. the one thing i can't get him to stop doing is jumping. he doesn't jump all the time, only when i open our sliding door to the backyard. he comes up, jumps once and then settles down. i have done all the 'tricks' i can think of, told him 'no' (he knows what that means) turned my back on him, had him lie down, but i can't seem to stop this one jump that he does. i walk him all the time so he's not bored and full of energy. i know he's excited when he sees me, is there anything i can do to stop him?
