Does my friend have a chance of catching a drug conspiracy charge?
Ok, my friend wants me to ask this for him. The other day one of his old buddies texted him that he trusted years ago selling narcotic pain relievers to one another. This friend of mine is a recovering addict who was addicted to Oxycontin and went through treatment on Suboxone(narcotic opiate antagonist similar to Methadone) along with therapy. He is better now but felt sorry for his old friend when his friend texted him asking if he could obtain some Suboxone(he said he knows how bad the withdrawals can be so he felt sorry) Anyway, all he told his friend was that he would make a call to another friend and see if he could get him some. However he never called the person in question. Then he saw yesterday where this individual was arrested last week(the one who wants the pills) He is scared now that by saying in a text that he would call around that there is the possibility of being charged with conspiracy. He's a great guy who has made a good change in his life and had a weak moment of feeling bad for an old friend. I know that doesn't matter when the law comes to question. Thanks in advance!
