There was this film on TCM once, and I've gone and forgotten what the title was. Any help?

The old plump owner of a department store becomes an employee at his own store in order to find out which ones are involved in a union and then fire them. A group takes pity on him, mistakenly thinking he his dirt poor, and a romantic friendship ensues with one of the women in the union, leading into his problem of how to deal with the union in his own store and his growing bonds with the people there.
