How can I get my partner interested in me again?

Hi there. My partner (of 9-yrs) & recently fiance has lost interest in me. We have been living apart this past 1-yr though have seen each other a few months in my country & a mth in his country. We agreed to part so I could study 1-yr at uni to become qualified as teacher. We thought it would be good for our future. But he has grown distant from me & lost interest in me us. I have 3x more months study & try to focus finish the course but am scared to lose him because was looking forward to being with him again for future. It seems out of sight & I'm out of his mind .... but in sight we always seem to find a way to feel so close. How can I create interest on his part again between now & when I finish study??? I am losing him .... We had lots of common interests before. I think he is lonely & out of work for awhile. I am trying to communicate with him but to no avail. Please give some tips as dont want to lose him or push him away any further. Thanks.
